What We Offer
Structural Design
Our structural design projects focus on balancing architectural ambitions, costs, and sustainability, while providing safe, durable, and functional structures. We offer design of everything from attachment of mechanical equipment in seismic zones to full design and documentation of towers and other large structures.
We partner with local engineering entities based on project location and local jurisdictional requirements.
Early-Phase Design Advice
We provide feedback on architectural designs at concept and competition phases. Development of structural concept packages with sketches and/or narratives as needed. These services are particularly targeted at young architects and small firms in need of brief yet comprehensive structural consultations at a low cost. Set hourly rates, collaborative competition pursuit, and/or exchange of services available.
Residential Renovation
Are you modifying your apartment or house in the Barcelona area and need advice and/or calculations regarding existing or new structural elements such as walls, beams, and columns? Want o open up your apartment to let in more light and need to remove and existing wall? We work with your architect and contractor to ensure safe conditions, both during and after construction.
Additions and Conversions
Calculations for transformation of spaces from office to residential; addition of new buildings or structures; canopies and balconies; and other conversions of existing buildings. We work with residential and commercial customers, and can provide high-level advice regarding 'possibilities' at an hourly rate prior to starting a project.
Peer Review
Review of the work of other engineers, as part of a formal peer-review service, a separate value-engineering exercise, or a constructability review. We always work with the best interest of the project in mind- providing constructive, actionable feedback with an eye towards reducing cost, increasing constructability, and/or achieving an originally intended architectural vision.
Outsourcing Services
Augmenting larger structural engineering firms and other companies when they find themselves overwhelmed with work. With licensure and extensive experience in the USA, we have a particular interest in supporting US-based work at competitive rates, although can also provide services to European and other firms internationally.
